Customer Segmentation Tool
Updated December 4, 2024
The Customer Segmentation Tool Dashboard is a powerful tool for analyzing customer buying behavior, conducting CLV analysis, identifying churn risks, and creating customer segments for targeted marketing.
It enables you to filter customers from various channels and stores and create combined segments that can be utilised for email marketing and social media advertising campaigns.
Users can drill selected customers details including email addresses by clicking the number of selected customers in the top Customers count tile.
Saved customer segments can be used as filters in Ellis Customer dashboard and Sales overview dashboards to further analyse segment-related behavior and results.

How segmentation tool filters work?
Different filters function as AND filters. For example:
Selecting Source as Omnichannel and Country as Australia will give you customers that match the both filters: customers that are located in Australia and have bought both online and offline sources (omnichannel).
Options within a same filter functions as OR filters. For example:
Selecting Source to be both Web and POS will give you customers that match one or the other: customers that have both either online or in-store. To get customers that have shopped from both sources, you should select only the Omnichannel option.
