Event Analysis (GA4) Dashboard

Updated March 21, 2024

Event Analysis (GA4) Dashboard helps you to event funnel and user journeys in your stores. Dashboard contains multiple filtering options. Use Landing Page to define the starting page, and Audience Selector to show dimensions. Changing Event type filters lets you customise your funnel.

This dashboard uses GA4 raw event data, which is synchronised and made available starting from the date of onboarding. Please be aware that there may be some differences between the values calculated from the raw event data and the GA4 user interface/Google Analytics Data API. Raw events exclude all the value additions made by Google Analytics to the reports in the user interface such as cookie consent estimations and the standard reports may use sampled data.

Also, data processing and reporting latencies may also affect the numbers displayed in both sources. We recommend keeping this in mind when comparing data from these sources. GA4 data is still subject for changes due to Google.

Note: Sessions where users have declined analytics cookies are excluded.

Event Analysis (GA4) Dashboard Elements

Event Funnel

  • Displays the session count in each funnel step based on the selected event filters. Event filters are additive, meaning that sessions in each step must contain the events specified by the earlier filters.
  • For example, setting “view_item”, “add_to_cart” and “begin_checkout” into event filters 1-3 means that the sessions in step 1 must contain “view_item” event, the sessions in step 2 must contain both the “view_item” and “add_to_cart” events and in the third step the sessions must contain all 3 events.

Event Funnel by Audience Trait

  • Displays the session count in each funnel step based on the selected event filters by selected audience.
