Discounts Dashboard provides a detailed analysis of discounts offered to customers.

Both Shopify and Ellis employ a similar logic for discounts. These discounts are applied during the Shopify checkout process and are not directly linked to specific products. For further information, please refer to the Shopify documentation on discounts:

Actions that are not considered discounts include:

• Manually changing the price of a Shopify product or using an application, such as through ERP integration.
• Modifying the "compare at" price in Shopify.

The dashboard allows for filtering based on the store, time period, comparison period, and codes used.

Discounts Dashboard Elements

KPI

• All Orders: Total order count during the current period. Shows the relative change from the comparison period. Source: Shopify
• Discounted Orders: Count of orders with applied discounts, showing the relative change from the comparison period. Source: Shopify
• Discount Rate (All Orders): Discount rate on all orders. The discount rate is computed as order's total discounts divided by the sum of order's total price and order's total discounts. Source: Shopify
• Discount Rate (Discounted Orders): Discount rate considering only orders with applied discounts. The discount rate is computed as order's total discounts divided by the sum of order's total price and order's total discounts. Source: Shopify 

Visualisations

• Discounts Compared to Sales: Visual representation of key sales metrics over time, including discounts, full-price sales, discounted sales, and total sales. Source: Shopify
• Granted Discounts by Discount Type: Chart shows how discounts were granted to customers over a selected period.
• Automatic Discounts: Predefined discounts applied automatically without codes based on specific conditions set by the store owner.
• Discount codes: Discount codes for customers to redeem at checkout.
• Manual: Discounts that are directly applied by store owner/staff for personalized pricing or assistance.
• Script: Custom scripts for advanced discount rules beyond default options, enabling dynamic promotions tailored to specific requirements. Source: Shopify
• Discount Appliance type by Orders and Sales chart shows how Discount deduction were applied to the item price. Source: Shopify
• Discount Rate over Time: Discount rate over the current period. Considers only the orders with applied discounts. The discount rate is computed as order's total discounts divided by the sum of order's total price and order's total discounts. Source: Shopify
• Discounts Log table shows the last 100 orders that hava used at least one discount code. You can download more orders separately. You can navigate to Single Order View to see the order details by clicking the order name. Source: Shopify
• Top 10 Discount Codes by Orders and Sales chart shows 10 most popular Discounts Codes applied by customers. Source: Shopify
